There are no student instructions for this feature.

Faculty have the Gradebook and students have the Assignment Folder.  Assignments are distributed and collected between the two. For grading, faculty have the Gradebook and students have their private Portfolio. Grades are recorded in both.

Use the Gradebook to

  • post instructions for all students in their Assignment Folders.
  • view student submissions and assign grades (grades assigned in the Gradebook are automatically posted in the Gradebook and in student Portfolios)
  • record non-Assignment Folder assignments and grades (such as conference participation, extra credit, and exams) for your own tracking purposes
  • compute final course grades
  • Gradebooks may be imported into other classes as a method for using assignments in other classes.  When importing, please remember that an imported Gradebook will replace an existing Gradebook already created in the receiving class.

Where is the Gradebook?
Links are on the Class Menu and in the Faculty Center. Gradebook is fully available to all class faculty and teaching assistants.

Working with what faculty have created:

Working with what students have created:

  • Record grades assigned to student work not submitted through Assignment Folders.
  • Assign and edit grades for all students for a single assignment at once
  • Verify grade reports with student Portfolio

Students who have dropped or withdrawn from class
~ Students who have already submitted work will be listed in a separate list beneath the Overview table.
~ Students who drop or withdraw before work is submitted are completely removed.
